Well I've entered into a debate on another forum and I get some people talking about some books that prove god exists, so has any one heard of these:
Many people have gone to great effort to prove that God exists. A couple of good books on the subject are The New Evidence that Demands a Verdict, by Josh McDowell, and The Case for Christ, by (I think) Stroebel.
and this one
Another good book is "When Skeptics Ask" by Norman Geisler.
The only thing that could prove any god's existence would be some kind of evidence to logically point to any gods and then specific god/s. No such evidence exists.
Therefore, it's strictly a personal thing whether you believe in gods or not. I'm fine with that, but it has no basis logically or scientifically.

That is a classice appeal to authority fallicy. Tell them to quick pointing to books and saying "Ah Ha! This prooves it." It is not your job to go do their homework. Tell them to give the arguements from the literature themselves or shut the fuck up. If they persist, start naming off books disproving the existance of gods.

The dillema God Emperor is facing is that the opponents are responding to proof request by simply pointing to a book and saying it holds the proof of diety without making any arguements themselves.
