This is what actually happened in my small-town redneck highschool when we got the the chapter in Biology that covers evolution.

I am really not sure why I am posting this, but here goes.

Teacher: Well, next up is evolution. I don't believe in this stuff, but they say we have to teach it. Does anyone here believe in this?

Class: *silence*

Me: *Too young, stupid, and scared to speak up*

Teacher: Okay, we will just skip it then. Turn to the next chapter and read....

You should make a point of requesting that it get taught anyway. If the teacher or class protests, you can point out correctly that no matter what they believe, it's in the curriculum and therefore they're expected to teach it, and you're expected to understand it and be tested on it.

Of course, the teacher is likely to teach it POORLY, at which point you can do any number of things, depending on your personal level of balls and willingness to take it as high as possible, or to the media.

Evidently, the class cannot form an opinion about something they do not KNOW.

The majority of the class were indoctrinated in creationism since birth and never been explained Evolution at home. And they don't hear about it school.

Nah, these are one of when I get in power who I killed reants. I studied Creatonism for years fantiaclly and I get shown logic and I look back at Creatonism I laugh my ass off. Believe me I had one of the best views on Creatonism here because I was one. It took a long time for me too get here and now.

DON'T BELIEVE IT. Understand the concept.

Never accept something as true just because somebody told you so.

See the logic behind Evolution and then try to find major flaws (real ones, not strawmen). If you cannot find them, then take your conclusions from it
