why should evolution be taught in class? its a MYTH too. its not proven.

There is a difference between proven and myth. Plate tectonics, evolution, gravity, and a variety of "theories" are just that, theories. Evolution is scientifically backed and has a fair amount of evidence supporting it. That does not make it fact, just a theory that fits most of the facts. That is why it is important to teach evolution with the disclaimer of THEORY. More importantly people need to be taught the real meaning of theory, scientific law, and the fact that science is ever changing as our understanding increases.
I also note that you completely missed the fact that science is used to disprove Greek and Roman mythology, but when applying that same science to Christian Creation, the science must be wrong.
One last bit of information. You completely ignored the fact that I did not say Creation should not be taught. I said that Creation has no place in science class.

yes, the science in Creation is wrong. all science is wrong. what does it do for us? Did darwin make up the earth? No. God did.

Science is wrong? Tell that to the computer your using to comunicate with me.
Oh, and you aren't going to get many converts with "God created earth" when you don't bother provide any evidence to support this claim.

well, all the evidence is in Genesis. yes....u can read, right? i stated. "science is wrong". do u have a problem with that? i would talk to my computer, and tell it science is wrong, but as u can tell, they're not living...they can't comprehend someone if they speak. can u prove that evolution is real? no u can't.
Holy shit he is stupid. But upon further reflection, his name is fitting.

I can't remember how many times I have gone over that point with these people. It beggers belief, they must have a rest button in their cranium that erases their memory every day.
You can try and hammer that into creationists and scientific ignoramuses all you like, but they just adamantly refuse to grasp basic reality.
Hell, in my freshman year critical thinking course, my professor absolutely refused to believe that evolution was a fact. She said, "Well, I don't think that it's considered a fact in science, yet."
Incidentally, she got her doctorate in psychology.

I believe it's been made quite clear what I think of psychology. But with enough indoctrination, virtually anything is possible. I know an astrophysics PROFESSOR who denies evolution too.

Either our education targets are quite lax or some people refuse to acknowledge reality.
Psychology isn't a science as far as I'm concerned.
It is the likes of this person that I believe that religous indoctrination of youth should be outlawed. People ought to be given a totally neutral look at religion untill they are 15 years old.

That was a PM on the creation board. You can find this person on that board. Their standard line is "God is not logical, what has science done for us that god hasn't?"

I remember my HS Chem teacher responding to Creationist lines like that with, "If God is not logical then he has no purpose and therfore does not exist." The line itself doesn't seem to be logical itself but it did shut them up. I'd appreciate any input on this one.

Logic simply tells us whether you're allowed to say "A, therefore B". That's all it does.
If an argument is illogical, it means that the conclusion does not follow from the premises. In other words, Christians can make claims, but if they deny the validity of logic, then they cannot make arguments.
The minute anyone uses the word "therefore" or any similar piece of connecting semantic tissue between fact A and conclusion B, he is attempting to use logic. If he denies the applicability of logic to his argument, then he is basically admitting that his argument does not work. It doesn't matter whether we are talking about God, Star Wars, sex, or anything else.
In short: if you try to argue that something is true rather than simply saying "it is because I say so", you are trying to use logic, whether you admit it or not.

I can tell you with almost 100% certainty that psychology is a science.
What you have encountered as 'psychology' is almost certainly pop-psychology. Which has as much to do with psychology as Creation Science has to do with Biology.
In fact, psychotherapists do not need any training or qualifications to call themselves psychotherapists. So you can't judge Psychology based on what they do.
In short: if you try to argue that something is true rather than simply saying "it is because I say so", you are trying to use logic, whether you admit it or not.
This could go with arguing that something is false, as well.
