ok, Robert Oppenheimer described the First atomic blast as reminding him of the quote from the Bagatadva-Gita.

If the radiance of a thousand suns
Were to burst at once into the sky
That would be like the splendor of the Mighty one ...

So if one of Shiva's lances has the power of the Radiant energy of 1000 suns (assuming sol type) how much destructive energy can Shiva produce?

Mike says on the Imperial Beam Weapons page that 1.2e33 w is 3 million times greater than Sol's output. This would put Sol's output at about 4e26 w. Multiply that by 1000 and you get 4e29 w.
