Creationist bumper sticker

Post by Kelly Antilles »

I saw this bumper sticker on the back of a van this morning. It said:

The Big Bang Theory.
God spoke and BANG it happened.

Not necessarily. Most moderate Christians would subscribe to that as well. Which doesn't make the idea any more of a giant leap of logic.

"Big Bang theory!" *scrambles all over it like a dog humping a leg*

"Of course, MY God did it!"

i have no problem with that. there´s no better explanation of how the big bang happened, so it can just as well have been god. chances are low of course but it´s not really relevant.

I can understand Bean's reluctance.

Here in Tucson I've known people who've had "Darwin Fish" removed from their vehicles multiple times. I guess the Chrisitan fish is okay but anything supporting evolution (and mocking Christians) get's defaced. :x

I'd assume it's the mocking mroe than the supporting. People are quite content to let you keep your beliefs until you start attacking theirs. I have little respect for Fundies who attack science (as in the inital post sticker), not do I have repsect for those who deliberately attack a religion for shits and giggles. It seems so...childish.

It's the Jesus fish, but instead of Jesus it says Darwin inside. And it has feet, IIRC.

Yet, if a Creationist had a similar sig, he'd be raped faster than a white boy in a Thai prison...

Yes, but there are equally valid explanations, such as the Easter Bunny shat out the universe.

As for the Creationist

What...so much stupidity, so little time?

Somehow doesn't have the same effect.

Any books on this that are relatively easy to read (as in no calculus)?

Personally, I like the fish with the legs and the wrench, with EVOLVE written in the center. Good stuff.

Thanks for the Darwin Fish link. I especially like the Pagan Fish.

Now to find one of those Darwin Fish. A coworker has a Jesus fish, we'll have dueling fish :) Her other sticker says "My Boss is a Jewish Carpenter"... I smacked my head when I saw that one.
