Can anyone judge the distance of this 2D image?
How far away is the end of the corridor here really?
Any rough guesses? I suck at stuff like this, I'd wager maybe 50meters...

The Blast Door secitons you see on the floor should be 5-8 Meters apart, Count the Number of Sections(6) and you end up with a figure between 36-48 Meters Long

After two minutes observation and no real calculations I'd agree. More precise scaling is possible but just place it at 45 should work for whatever he needs it for.Mr Bean wrote:The Blast Door secitons you see on the floor should be 5-8 Meters apart, Count the Number of Sections(6) and you end up with a figure between 36-48 Meters Long

Figuring out how fast the blaster bolts that where fired immediatly after went.Sea Skimmer wrote:After two minutes observation and no real calculations I'd agree. More precise scaling is possible but just place it at 45 should work for whatever he needs it for.
They took 5 frames to cover that distance, so thats roughly 220m/s for the blaster bolts.

Any chance of getting that in US units...? I don't have a conversion table with me, and I don't remember off the top of my head how many feet are in a meter. His Divine Shadow wrote:Figuring out how fast the blaster bolts that where fired immediatly after went.Sea Skimmer wrote:After two minutes observation and no real calculations I'd agree. Yes well there's a large amount of evidence that seems to indicate the visible part being the killin' part.Mr Bean wrote:The visable part anyway
Most striking would be the times when a bolt is in the air on it's way to a lethal impact and is stopped.
Seems to me that if it was an invisible killing beam it'd been to late in those cases.

The English system is an evil spawn of completely ludicrous and nonsensical conversions. Learn the metric system.verilon wrote:Any chance of getting that in US units...? Of course. British system is a remnant of the corrupt bourgeouise oppressors which must be dethroned by the proleteriatarian metric system.

It was forty rods to the hogsheads, still awful, a tenth of a mile the gallon I think. Worse then an M1A2.Pablo Sanchez wrote:That's an absolutely terrible gas mileage, by the by. That's easie! Just calculate the length of your thumb and divide it by the amount of meters. Add the average size of a cow's intestine and multiply it by the amount of time it takes to drop a yardstick from a ship. That'll give you the equivalent in Imperial units.verilon wrote:Any chance of getting that in US units...?
