Scott Adams's God's Debris
Anyone read this book? I thought it was pretty much a piece of junk and was about as intellectually stimulating as a cheese sandwich. However he claims his story has some kind of logical flaw and I haven't given it much thought but has any of you who have read it thought about what it might be?

Dunno. I've come to regard Scott Adams as a bit of a fringe member of the woo-woo crowd.

Should read "The Dilbert Future". Most of the book is just witty observations with the usual wry sarcastic humour.
Then his last chapter is the biggest load of oddness I've ever read.

"The Wire" is the best show in the history of television. Watch it today.

I couldn't get my head around it, something about affirmations. And how if you don't know about the contents of a box, it can change the contents. Some really intense shit.
I haven't touched that chapter since I read it a few years ago.

Yeah. He believes that human thought can change your immediate surroundings. Affirmations is basically writing down something that you want many times and supposedly it will become reality because your thoughts affect your environment.Gandalf wrote:I couldn't get my head around it, something about affirmations. There was also some crazy shit involving gravity and how everything from the tiniest subatomic particle is growing in size.

If everything was doubling in size constantly, how could you tell there was any difference, besides the effects of gravity?
