Clones

Post by Zero »

After seeing the movie "The Island" I have two questions about the feasability of the shit in the movie.

Is it possible to actually create a clone that was already of reasonable size and age? If it were, what would some probable effects be?

Also, in the movie, they were produced in artificial wombs. Is there any technology advancing in that direction, and is it actually feasable at all to create artificial wombs? If it were possible, would it be more or less cost effective then simply using a real person?
So long, and thanks for all the fish

Why clone people for harvesting organs when you can clone the organs independently? Oh that’s right I forgot the writer did absolutely no research whatsoever.

Right now, obviously no. Is it theoretically possible? Probably not. Clones need time to grow just like any other human being.

Can't say for sure, but I know of no advancement in the artificial womb direction. It is probably possible to develop them, but IMHO it will always be more cost effective to simply do it the old fashioned way.
