God Bless America

Post by Admiral Valdemar »

I don't recall this nugget being shown here before, I do find it worth posting though, just to highlight some of the very best material America's raving (and somewhat powerful) fundie movement has to offer.

I wonder if they realise they're coming off just a teensy bit like the rabid Islamofascists they claim to be fighting against in the name of freedom and democracy.

OMFG. Ann Coulter DOES have an Adam's Apple!

This we know. Even if she didn't, her rampant idiocy and bigotry is enough to warrant a bitchslapping more than anything.

"God Bless America"? This thread is mistitled; given the content of the page, the it is quite clear that the only title commensurate with the self-righteousnessness found there is "America Bless God".

I'm thinking any sane "God" would damn the nation, if anything. Simply how these people lead their lives is a mystery to me. The anti-science quote from a Creationist is par for the course for those kinds. The totally bankrupt comments made by others (especially ones in power or formerly of high-status like Reagan or the SCOTUS Chief Justice) just make my bile rise. It sounds like Nazi Germany, not a 21st century Western power.

Dr. James Dobson of Focus on the Family wrote:"Those who control the access to the minds of children will set the agenda for the future of the nation and the future of the western world."
:wtf:

This reminds me of a certain institution created by the German government after the elections of 1933 for the education, exercise and indoctrination of that nation's young men and women...

Yes.

As an aside,
Georgie Bush wrote:"God told me to strike at al Qaida and I struck them, and then he instructed me to strike at Saddam, which I did, and now I am determined to solve the problem in the Middle East. If you help me I will act, and if not, the elections will come and I will have to focus on them."
Reading this reminded a little of Jake99 ...
A Government founded upon justice, and recognizing the equal rights of all men; claiming higher authority for existence, or sanction for its laws, that nature, reason, and the regularly ascertained will of the people; steadily refusing to put its sword and purse in the service of any religious creed or family is a standing offense to most of the Governments of the world, and to some narrow and bigoted people among ourselves.

Yeah, I've seen this page before, but it's funny anyway. It's nice to see the Pat Robertson has the most quotes, enough to warrant two pictures of his ugly face.

"The Christian community has a golden opportunity to train an army of dedicated teachers who can invade the public school classrooms and use them to influence the nation for Christ."
That one raises the hairs on my neck just thinking that someone can make that statement out loud and not have people smashing their door in to enforce the laws of reality.

Muslims? Did John Ashcroft, former Attorney General under George Bush, just call Muslims civilised? It's no wonder he got fired, he's only a little bigoted

Jay Grimstead wrote:"We are to make Bible-obeying disciples of anybody that gets in our way."
After reading this, the very first thing that flashed through my mind is:
"We are the Borg. Prepare to be assimilated. Your existence, as you know it ... is over. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt, to service us. Resistance ... is futile."
Pat Robertson wrote:"When lawlessness is abroad in the land, the same thing will happen here that happened in Nazi Germany. Many of those people involved with Adolph Hitler were Satanists, many of them were homosexuals – the two things seem to go together."
You mean all of those homosexuals that were sent to the death camps? Of course! They must have been there to do guard duty!

[quote"Star Parker"]"Anybody that believes in separation of church and state needs to leave right now."[/quote]
"The 'wall of separation between church and state' is a metaphor based on bad history, a metaphor which has proved useless as a guide to judging. It should be frankly and explicitly abandoned."
God, if I ever make a time machine... I swear the first thing I will do with it is have one of these fundies say this kind of shit to Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Alexander Hamilton, and other Founding Fathers and Framers of the Constitution.

I have absolutely no clue why I decided to reply to this one:
Pat Robertson wrote:"The feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism, and become lesbians."
I propose a compromise, we allow them to become lesbians and practice withcraft, if they agree to not kill anyone.

Henry Morrison wrote:"When science and the Bible differ, science has obviously misinterpreted its data."
Funny, because I seem to recall that Morrison called creationism a "science", so now he's saying both creationism and evolution are wrong...Well, he probably meant to say that evolution is wrong, but he didn't say it right.

He's obviously wrong, both in intent and expression.

Hitler's mustache looked retarded. A twirlable one would've been so much better. Since this president caters to the lowest common denominator, I'd think he'd go for the mustachio.

Actually, yeah. She said once that "My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times Building." So the only thing that would have made the bombings better would be... well, you can read it. Good show, Ann!
