WW2 Alternate History

This is going to be an obviously unrealistic alternate history question. I don't care how it's done (magic is preferred here), I'm just interested in the results of this discussion.
Basically, what if the USA gives a blank cheque to Japan to do whatever the hell it wants in Asia during the 1930s and 1940s, for some completely nonsensical reason, as long as it doesn't attack American colonies (Philippines) or bases?
By blank cheque I mean the USA won't cut off resources Japan didn't have in a great abundance like iron or gas to the Japanese due to their brutal war in China and won't give a damn if they attack other countries (other than America). The US cannot aid the Nationalist Government in China (or the Communists) and any weapons given to the European countries to be used to defend against Japan is magically poofed out of existence.
How far will the Japanese expand with a much greater amount of American supplies? Will they succeed in bringing China (and maybe a lot of East Asia) to heel? How long will the Co-Prosperity Sphere last?
