Shit. I have honestly been trying to help the kid on the board and in his life for what seems like well over a year, and seriously, this is the type of responses and reactions I have received over and over. I kept giving him the benefit of the doubt that it would just "click" one day, and he would finally stop shitting all over the chances and good will he got from people and the board in general.

It's actually sort of a relief that everyone gets it now.

Except Coffee. That douchebag just had a vendetta.

It's really astonishing the way he approaches Shroom after he gets permbanned. "Make it look like I was just joking," he says, betraying a seemingly instinctive tendency to lies and dissembling as well as having absolutely no conception whatsoever of the way that would make Shroom himself look. "Fix it!" he snarls, as though ordering Shroom around, sounding like a spoiled 3-year-old brat. As though SDN is his personal toy and Shroom just broke it.

For me it wasn't the "Fix it" comment that made him seem like such an out of touch wannabee-bully moron. I could easily see (have seen, in fact) upset toddlers/children taking broken things to their parents or guardians and begging for them to "Fix it." What did it for me was the "You have to get behind me" comment, and the "Don't you think about posting this" comment, and the "This will require a lot of lying" comment most of all. He knew exactly what he was asking for, and then tried to get Shroom to help him, and threatened him to try and get his support. All this while knowing he had absolutely jack shit to threaten Shroom with, and that Shroom had not only told him to go fuck off and die but also that he'd posted his conversations with Colefail for public mockery already! He had to know, deep down, that this would backfire on him! Perhaps that's what he wanted...

When people ask you to change or get lost, you might want to do some reflecting about your own mistakes, which I what I've did and still trying to do.

You don't give yourselves excuses like "I can still act like a retard for two more days! " or pretending the fact that he was never an idiot.

Schuyler Colfax, if you are ever reading this from another person's computer, I can tell you this. Listen to what people have to say about you from time to time. If they says you are still an idiot, well perhaps you still are. Don't judge yourself and run around screaming to everyone that you have improved.

Maybe it got overlooked due to the overwhelming signal-to-noise of his whining? I've ignored Pwnage for 99% of his career on this board because he was just so pathetic one person making fun of him was pretty much the equivalent of a bandwagon. I and others knew if his access to this board ever seriously came up we would *really* see the worst in him. It was obvious how obsessive he was.

I give guys like Hav credit for trying to help him, but frankly, we've had plenty of trolls in our history just like him who got banned way faster and with a lot less discussion. So if anyone could elaborate, why *was* their so much debate about him in the first place? He was basically just trekdestroyer 2.0.

Never once in his entire history on this board did he make so much as one post that was interesting, funny, or usefull.

I'll guess it's because SC managed to mostly stay off the radars of most Senators and mods because he stayed mostly in Testing and the venting threads in the HoS. Even when I was modding testing, my usual reaction to an SC post was to just ignore it. Trekdestroyer, on the other hand, fucked around in the regular discussion forums. Trekdestroyer also managed to jump onto my radar really early--his very first posts necroed two-year-old threads in order to suck up to Mike. After that, I and a few other mods kept an eye on him.

And for all that, Trekdestroyer hung around laming this place up for years before he made a racist joke about a supermod and got his ass thrown out the door.

Thank you first. Second, IMO I thought that the kid got a rough start because of his initial name. He got bagged on constantly for that and being 15, he didn't handle it very well. Then, he seemed sincere about getting a fresh start with a new name and trying to make himself better. Once he got it, he seemed to be OK, but then he started to try and emulate some of the other members like Coffee and Stark, and he just never came close to getting it down and it completely backfired on him and just made people jump his shit. That was when he started to revert back to his old form. We (Me, Ford Perfect, Mr. Coffee, Tim31, The Spartan even Stark and Flagg, who both hated the kid, and others) tried the cool nickname thing and it once again worked, but as before it was short lived. He just couldn't find a "personality" and never tried to improve his contributions as much as he worked on trying to fit in. Maybe if he had done that, we wouldn't be here.

So to answer your question... personally, I don't like when people get picked on and I give people the benefit of the doubt, probably more than they actually deserve. In Colfax's case, I just didn't think he got a good break with his name choice and I thought if he could get past that and just age a little with some friendly advice and guidance, he would be a pretty cool kid. Basically like what Chitty did. Unfortunately, he is just a dumbass.
