Do you see how the heat from the pokers spreads out in bands of brightness rather than in a manner predictable by direct-energy transfer?
Obviously the firewood is made out of some mysterious species of lumber susceptible to chain reactions.
Plainly, the poker works by causing fission in the uranium atoms in the wood. I asked eight PhD plus guys. All eight said yes!

(for you groundlovers, that's actually the punchline of a very old joke about pilots)
It's not the wingspan of their plane, but how they use the joystick eh?
More of matter of how long they can stay up with a given payload. Endurance is very important. Long-range, the mission requires an airman who can stay up all day or all night without requiring relief.

Precision is also a must, particularly when working in close formation. The hands and feet must work the various control surfaces with firm yet gentle pressure. Although some aircraft strike the eye as prettier than others, the real criteria is whether or not they are suitably equipped for the mission at hand, not how new and blemish free they are. As always, the most important duty of the airman is to consistently wring the maximum performance possible out of the tool at hand, in order to complete the mission to the satisfaction of all concerned parties.

Considering the target spot on the victim, I'd say the only thing spreading out would be they're arse cheeks as they try to pull the poker out.

UNless their trousers are made from special selectively fissionable material, then the fire caused around the impact area will be by DET, the heat haze might cause some weaker-minded people to see things that aren't there of course. :)

Yes, if you want to fly with me it will take some flexibility to get in and out due to the tight fit of the cockpit. Once they're in, though, many airmen come to enjoy the snugness.

My husband? You mean my favorite co-pilot?

Don't worry, he knows and has been reminded
