Ladies and gents I sorta buried this at the end of the rules update thread so I'm going to throw it out there top level for the general discussion. Would folks rather have a vote to confirm/remove Rob first and proceed to nominations only in case of a failed confirmation OR would folks rather proceed directly to nomination in light of Rob's current absence? I personally would prefer to vote then nominate only if Rob is not reconfirmed but I don't want to bog us down with votes that the Seante feels are excessive.

Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."
In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

- Thanks for the nod guys but what I want to make sure is that if we proceed to nominations and a vote without first voting Rob OUT then we do so knowing that is the way things are going. So I'm really asking for a sense of the Senate that we should proceed to nominations without the intermediary step of removing Rob.

There is a move to vote but I'm going to leave the forum open for nominations through the beginning of next week before posting a vote. My intention right now is to have nominations through the 12th, voting 13th-20th with a winner declared about 6 hours after Obama official becomes #44.
