The fact that even the Mollar company admits on their site that their car has yet to be actually flown is quite telling. This whole thing sounds more like an investor rip off scam than a pursuit of aviation advancement. You're better off going out and buying a used C-152 and getting you private certificate. Cessnas are relatively cheap, safe, and more importantly exist, and a pilot's license is required either way. Yeah general aviation is an expensive and demanding hobby, but the rewards make it worth while.
