I like Star Wars a lot, and dislike Star Trek, but I don't *know* much about either, having never read the books or comics or anything like that. So I tend to avoid the SW vs ST just because I would have nothing of value to add there. Much like I'm doing right here, as it happens. *laugh*

You got the ST part right, but I wouldn't post on ST/SW if all your going to do is attack all arguements because you think both are stupid. If you have something useful to add, then by all means feel free to post to your hearts content. Basically, follow the golden rule of posting "Got something good to add, add it, if not then shut the f~c% up" plain and simple.

I figured...I just don't really *like* much of either...but am actually somewhat interested in SW.

you´re probably here for the same reasons i am here. i simply enjoy the off topic and the slam forum.
i like SW put i´m not interested in, for example, technical details and most other stuff that is discussed in the SW forums.
but there are a lot of interesting, entertaining people here and the slam forum is good for reading intelligent opinions and views on certain things. i dont think that you have to be a scifi fan (even though i´d consider myself one) to post here.

If you don't like either of them, you probably shouldn't bother with the debate. Its like trying to decide whether or not to drink gasoline or engine oil when you can just as easily not drink either.

Ditto on that last comment...and I do visit ST/SW and SW forums every now and then...just to post meaningless comments, mostly, but I still visit them.
