A series too far.Montcalm wrote:Whats your opinion on the next CSI spinoff they're doing for next season CSI new York?Admiral Valdemar wrote:I've not watched much of this season. CSI: Miami I always catch because it's on Saturday at 2115 here and as great as Grissom is, Horatio Caine is fun.
I wouldn't mind, but it's not going to be any different and NYC has TONS of crime series set in it anyway!
Right now I just want to know which The Who song is going to be playing during the opening credits.Montcalm wrote: Whats your opinion on the next CSI spinoff they're doing for next season CSI new York?
The first two CSI shows both have songs off of The Who's Next Album so I'm curious to see if they will take another off of that album, and which song will they pick.
By the pricking of my thumb,
Something wicked this way comes.
Open, locks,
Whoever knocks.

Maybe we could do a poll on which song will be chosen for the next series.Admiral Valdemar wrote:First thing that came to my mind too.Tsyroc wrote:Right now I just want to know which The Who song is going to be playing during the opening credits.Montcalm wrote: Whats your opinion on the next CSI spinoff they're doing for next season CSI new York?

CSI lost a viewer in me when they had an episode with a diabetic killer who was supposedly in a state of acidosis constantly, to the point that that his car smelled like his breath.
For those of you who don't know:
Ketoacidosis is what caused type 1 diabetics to die 100% of the time before the discovery of insulin. Being in an advanced state of it causes you to be so incredibly pukey, weak, and non-functional that you can hardly walk, much less kill folks. The one time I went into it, I wound up in the Intensive Care Unit.
Bullshit of the highest order.
Then there was the episode where they made a cast of a knife wound in order to replicate a murder weapon.
Just like other Brukheimer projects, the research for CSI is often fanciful, when it's not offensively bad.

Life is all the eternity you get, use it wisely.
Any city other than New York would've been better. (Or Boston cuz they already sort've have a show set in that with the Coronor show or whatever it is).Montcalm wrote:Whats your opinion on the next CSI spinoff they're doing for next season CSI new York?Admiral Valdemar wrote:I've not watched much of this season. Personally, I would have loved to see a CSI in a northern climate, say Philly or Chicago or Seattle so we'd have a chance to see a different sort of CSI investigation styles.
Las Vegas gives us Desert-environment CSI, as well as CSI related to sex crimes, money crimes and drug crimes.
Miami gives us Swamp/Ocean CSI, as well as more drug and culture-clash themed CSI.
A northern climate based show could give them the chance to focus on snow/ice/cold based CSI, as well as some other personality theme i'm sure they could come up with. While NYC can give them those options somewhat, NYC just doesn't seem as cold and snowy as other places, and crime shows in general have been done to death in NYC IMO.

I'd chalk the acidosis off to him not being in that major a state that it'd be so debilitating, but yes, that is odd.Frank Hipper wrote:CSI lost a viewer in me when they had an episode with a diabetic killer who was supposedly in a state of acidosis constantly, to the point that that his car smelled like his breath.

For artistic licence they have to have some odd things in otherwise it'd get too dull. For the most part it's accurate given I've seen what the forensics agents do at UC Lancs. near me. I have to adore those amazing computer programs they use sometimes that can do seemingly anything.
