I wouldn't say lost. The South thought it would be better to let you damn yankees just run things. Who'dve thought we'd be wrong?

Funny that you say that, and this isn't nitpicking or complaining about your use of words, but there was a whole fiction movie about modern times, where there was a 2nd Civil War in the US because the governor of a certain state announced his "succession" ceremony (the sequence in which one person after another succeeds to a title, throne, dignity, or estate), and somebody in Washington got it wrong and thought he said "secession" (the withdrawal of 11 Southern states from the Union in 1860-1861)THe Yosemite Bear wrote:No, The Sucession involved Taxation etc.
The Northern States were actually WORSE in their treatment of the Irish and Italian immigrants. (Debt slavery, totally unsafe living and working conditions, etc)
No it wasn't a comical movie

Good job you didn't drive through it, you'd be trapped for hours in the mad ring-road system with the 400 badly-set traffic lights.

The one thing I hated with the England was the mass of roundabouts, and those with/without lights in them. That and all the cars we rented had no compasses in them.

Somebody somewhere has a mania for roundabouts, as 6 new ones appear in Britain every single week.Ted wrote: I saw some of those mass of lights.

Okay - I just made up that figure, but it's really got to be something like that.
