See, if you had just left it as, "What other things do you find better than sex?" I could start listing them off. But non-sexual? I'm twenty. I am a slave to my hormones and loins.

I agree with WP.
Actually, I've never flown a plane, but being in freefall is a-fucking-mazing.

Oh, and I don't know if it counts as a non-sexual thing, but dropping into subspace is also a pretty damn cool sensation (bondage is great).

And graduating. I would not have missed my graduation for sex with anyone.

Speaking as a guz who has had sex, I still agree. Just spending time with her is better than sex for me. :D Of course, sex wasn[t that great for me the first four times, although with the possible creation of the sex forum that could change...

Nothing is more pleasurable than sex in terms of leisure activities. But to say that nothing is "better" than sex is a context-dependent statement; if you haven't had water in a few days I'm sure you'd take water over sex.

It is. I mean, you wouldn't fucking believe it either, just the act of touching another person feels better than conventional sex. I spent an hour giving my then-girlfriend a back massage and I was practically orgasming the whole time. When we finally got around to doing it, we didn't even do any penetration, we just acted like both our bodies were giant erogenous zones (which they were at that point) and spent the whole time rubbing each other. Greatest and most memorable experience I've ever had and I only wish we'd actually gone for the full intercourse so I'd know how crazy that would have been.

Anyways, what is better than sex? Sushi. Not just any sushi mind you, but sushi made at my favorite restaurant that I have been going to for fifteen years. I'm telling you, this guy makes a Soft Shell Crab and Spicy Tuna roll that gives you an orgasm in your mouth. Maybe not better than sex per say, but certainly an experience that can be equivalent to it.

I also remember a few instances while I was kayaking that my adrenaline was so high that I might as well have been having sex.

This is very true - after 4 days, if i'm still alive, water is priority #1. Above anything else.

However, there ARE things that could be more leisureably pleasurable. As far as I can tell (having never experienced either sex or the following:), just being with a loved one, in close contact, leisurably resting while he/she is in your arms, is a small piece of heaven.

Then again, this is just my observation as an amateur philosopher.

That's where you and me are different. I'm the kind of horn dog that would want to have sex with a chick above all else. Hey, if you're going to die, you might aswell go out with a smile on your face. :)

*Note to self, learn to make good cheesecake.

Listening to really nice music, the 9th say, is enough to get me tingly. Though there was once the feeling of playing Rogue Squadron on N64 for the first time.

There are a few moments in TV/movies, the final major battle scene in Irresponsible Captain Tylor for instance.

And then of course there are genuine photographs of deepspace or any celestial object really, damn near cream my shorts every time I see a good Cassini photo or those Ultra Deep Field pictures.yum

I'm not sure how it compares to sex, but I can say that I have never experienced a better feeling than falling on the ground after finishing a 5000 meter race. Truly I could die right there on the ground and be happy about it.

I'm not sure how this is compared to sex, but I love the feeling of a good argument.

The intellects clashing, words flying about, and that wonderful feeling when you see they've relised you've won. :D

I think the single most euphoric moment of my life was on the results night of the student elections in March when my society’s anti-occupation of Palestine motion was carried.

I was feeling progressively more depressed as the night wore on as all my friends who had stood for election lost and was increasingly convinced that all the effort we put into collecting signatures and campaigning, faced with opposition from the Tories and the JSoc (both bigger than us), would come to nothing. We won though and the feeling of elation was such that I lost my traditional English reserve and danced around the room hugging and kissing everybody in sight.

So to sum up democracy is better than sex but only if you win.
