I'v always felt uncomfortable hitting anyone. Even when asked to hit the person by the person themself. Even when defending myself. It could be the dislike of touch that I have. I don't know actually, but even if I wanted to hit them I only get half way through the swing and I pull back and want to break off. I guess Im just not violent like that.

At first let me clarify. This is a discussion without facts, as we discuss here a very abstract thing. And yes, even law is abstract, as it may show a path and tries to enforce it, but cant put it through on every level all the time.

Same goes with the concept of Warrior Code like Ghost put it.

Both are rules people should adhere to, both are/were broken over and over again.

I guess we could agree on this.

To remind you again. this is my vision of how it could be better under perfect circumstances. And i think that the judgement of someone who is competent , lawful and respected is more worth than a law which has inherent flaws you just cant bypass sometimes.

Btw, i am a bit surprised that you rule out honour and respect from this time completley. As you state it, its something like a mental illness.

Even then one shouldn't delight in beating the hell out of people. I've lived in 3rd world countries, I've spent the past 7 months working in one, and let me tell you, lack of law & order is not an excuse for someone to enforce his ideas of law on others, that only works comics & movies ("The Punisher" comes to mind). No, you stay out of trouble, avoid shit when it happens, and only use violence as an absolute last resort. I take no pleasure from defending myself, I don't like doing it but sometimes I just have to, and every tme it happens my nerves are all jangly and on edge for the rest of the day.

Well, you're welcome to your ideas of law. But you're still obligated to follow them. And you still haven't explained why hurting someone should be something to feel good about.

I don't think that holding a gun makes you honourless. I think that your concept of the 'strong' and the 'weak' completely fall to pieces when both sides have a technological equalizer. Other than that, consider what Samuel Clemens once said of 'honourable' combat: "If a man should challenge me, I would take him kindly and forgivingly by the hand and lead him to a quiet place and kill him."
