I was talking to Majin Gojira over AIM about Fred Phelps and he gave me the url, and told me to check out the creationist site.

I was soon hooked/.

I was in a yahoo group discussion forum for SW vs ST and someone posted a link.

Random google search for "Star Destroyer" (late 2002) landed me here, I think I was looking for RPG statistics. I found Saxton's TC site the same way. I mostly read the "Conquest" fic, but after a few months I decided to start lurking the boards, and I absolutely loved the discussions. I joined after I got my new computer near the beginning of the year.

I started off as a TFNer, which many of my fellow PSWers here may find shocking.

Anyway, one day they were tickling a peeve and badmouthing Saxton and they included this website in their diatrabes. So I checked it out. And here I am.

Did a search on Metacrawler for Star Destroyers, and found this site prior to when Mike began the forum. Read his fanfic and thoroughly enjoyed it.

What about you all? Come from ASVS? Random too? Or some other means?

Hmmmmm...... +1

I'm not sure where I first encountered this site - it was quite awhile ago. Very likely I found it off of either Wayne's site or the guestbook off of Brian Young's site when it was still up. A third possibilty is someone gave me the link over ICQ, although I suspect it would be in my archives if that was the case.

I'm not too sure on the 'when' either. All I can really remember is that the menu had bronzish Imperial logos and mouseovers for perhaps a week until they got switched to green. This was before it got (or at the least, before I recall using the stardestroyer.net name) so I have a hard time using archive.org to search it.

As for these forums, I was on the AOTC commentaries one, so it didn't suprise me when this incarnation came to be. Very likely, I was on that board via simply checking the website, failing that it would've been likely to have been posted on ASVS. I oringinally registered one or two days after this one came up, but it cut off my name so I didn't bother using that account. When that one got deleted, I registered again, but the e-mail address I used wasn't working anymore so that one eventually got deleted again. My third time actually got it right, and it's a relatively simple mental excersize to see how long this entire thing took.

In the summer of 2001 I found the link to Stardestroyer.net in a paper magazine. The site caught my attention as it was very well written and I read the whole of it within a few days.

After AOTC came out I came to read any updates and found a AOTC discussion forum besides the review for the movie. Soon the bbs was created and I became a lurker. After nearly six months I decided to bite the bullet and signed up.
I have to tell you something everything I wrote above is a lie.

Somebody linked Mikes Science vs. Cretinism pages in a debate at Heavengames, I followed, read and eventually also read the SWvsST section. That was sometime in 2000, and when the board came up, I joined soo after.
