What goes on in Hell?

Actually, no...I personally don't like the idea of being detached from myself. In fact, that's a rather scary thought. If someone sliced your arm...you wouldn't feel it as if it were on your arm in this case. You would feel it but not on your arm. Or, someone would play with your nerves, but you could do nothing about it. IE, they could make you feel like your arm was cut without it actually bring cut.

I agree, that's scary. But only for the first couple of centuries, if that. And how can cutting an arm be felt by a supposedly incorporeal being?

It would be more fun to have the tormented souls wander the earth for all eternity unable to interact with anything, or even each other. ang give them a compulsion to want to right wrongs, but be unable to do it.

Hey...it's Hel...Anything could be possible. ANd there are always new ways to create pain. Besides...once you learn how to tolerate great pain, you will forget what little things, like papercuts put in salt water, canfeel like. ANd besides, nerves are nerves. The being could make you feel hot or cold just as easily as pain (and vice versa). It's just manipulating the nerves and how much each is used and broken, and what not.

Hell I believe is a place where we can all give in to our darkest desires. We woudn't have to worry about morals or laws or any of that garbage, we'd just run around doing whatever the hell we want. It would be complete anarchy put into practice, and I think I'd love every minute of it. It would be filled with the music of Ozzy and Slayer, and fundies would get beaten and killed on a regular basis. I want to go to hell, it's way more fun than being in heaven strumming a damn harp and looking at angels that I can't fuck.

That was a chilling description of hell, most probably I'd end up being stuck with a fundie, bible thumping christian with Darkstar mindset and probably Darkstar himself... of course the people you end up being with would probably be circled around so just to keep the pain high

Seing that you lot love to talk about torture, and that I have revealed the depravity of my own mind, I was wondering about your visions of Hell - asuming the place exists of course. I know that most of you don't believe in it, and I don't see it as a real place at all. However, if it existed (for argument's sake, assume you are writing a novel that is partly set in Hell), what would it be like? How bad would you have to be to go there? Which names known to us would most deserve to go there? What sort of punishments would they dish out? Which punishments would match what sins? Would the punishments be more psychological that "physical"? (How could they be physical if you no longer have a body?) And - perhaps the most dreaded question of all - what sort of music would they play in the background?

According to what I've read in the Bible, Hell is a place where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. It's also described as a lake of fire where the worm does not die. So far as music, if it were heard there, it would likely be individually tailored to be as irritating as possible to each individual.
