engine in a production car under $80k....450 Horspower.....500 CUBIC INCHES....

Even if it looked like something out of the 1970s, it would have sold

Execs....they could have had the next Corvette/Mustang on their hands,

No, I can just order a no-name aftermarket engine for 1/2 the price and
have it installed in my car, and it will work just as good as a chevy made
engine....you cannot do that with a Mac and aftermarket
non-Apple approved shit, because there is NO non-apple approved shit,
just the hideously overpriced Apple Approved shit......

You have the choice of going with a Chevy-Approved Engine or a Non-Chevy
Approved engine in cars..... Wrong analogy, duradnal.

Yes you can buy a brand spanking new Proccessor(Only one type) for your computer Brand new Ram(only one type) and A bigger Hard Drive(Woopde doo, When I can get 120 Gigs for 98$ what am I going to need more for? Oh wait unless its Apple in which case thats $198)

1. You can put that $98 120GB HD in a PowerMac. No problem there.
2. You can put standard RAM in a Mac. It doesn't play nice with the cheap crap, but decent-quality RAM works.
3. Depending on the computer, you have a selection of two different types of processors (some G3 iMacs would accept either a G3 or G4 upgrade.)

Exuse me for Num 1 I should have said unless you got it from Apple and 2. Not always True, I've had some steller ram play bullshit with Apple Computers Before Inculding some PC 170 Ram(PC-133 Guartined up to PC -170 at CAS2) throw all sorts of Hissy Fits with Macs

From what make? Macs are notorious for being picky with RAM.

I've had PC133 RAM flake out on me what I was driving it at 66MHz speeds at CAS3. Rating does not mean everything. (It was a K7/700 running Windows NT4).

With PC you have Three Choices along with diffrent models from Each Company(Except VIA) Bascily you have Five to Six CPUs to choice from depending on your interptation while with Macs you have one, The G series...

No no.. PC-170 is not a Standered it Means HAND TESTED Memory that verifed to run up to PC-170 at CAS2 Fine, Thats fucking rare memeory, when 256Meg sticks where 60$ Two years ago this thing set me back $110

And yes I knew it worked I was using it in a P3 OC running at 166

I was not referring to variations in clockspeed. I am referring to differences in design and manufacture.
