Dun remember making any refernce to that day...
For whatever reason, I was reading through Sluggy Freelance and came across a comic about Thanksgiving (early on, in 1997).
That doesn't mean I meant in the context of the holidsy. ;)

Because of Sluggy.com, not because of the actual holiday. ;)

I am thankful for every experience I have ever had, good or bad, because I have taken something from every one of those experiences and have let them shape me. I am thankful that I am not afraid to tell the people that mean something to me that I love them. I am thankful that I have not lost any of the most important people in my life yet and that I can still enjoy them. I am thankful that if I died today, I would not have a single regret and would consider my life completely fulfilled. I am thankful that I take time to enjoy simple pleasures and don't pass them by because I am always in a hurry. I am thankful that I have choices, and that I choose every day to make myself happy, strong, resilient and successful. I am thankful that I have made an impression upon the students I teach and have helped shaped their lives. And finally, I am thankful to those of you who value my words enough to read through this entry. *blows kisses* Thank you.

Well said. I, on the other hand would be terribly afraid to die today as I haven't accomplished what set out to do.

Thank you.

If this is too personal, please just disregard it, but what is it you are setting out to do?

After 28 years I'm still asking the same question...I know it sounds sappy but I would really enjoy settling down and starting a family. I have a fun time helping raise my little nieces and I think that I could handle a brood of my own.

That's not sappy at all, that's completely understandable. I might feel the same way you do if I knew I wanted to have kids. Right now, through my students, I'm getting some of the satisfaction of contributing to their upbringing--like a hint of what having my own child would be like--while, at the same time, I don't have issues with myself about what genes I've passed on to them, since they aren't mine. *shrug* My view on life is to love and be loved by as many people as possible. If that includes my own kids, so be it. But I won't die feeling like I've failed if I don't get that chance.
