Hitman 2

Post by Brother-Captain Gaius »

For those of you out there that have played it:

I've gone through the game on normal difficulty and I've got everything except the scalpel, .22 pistol, W2000, and the M4A1. I know how to get the scalpel, but WHERE DO I GET THE M4!? ARGGH! The only level I've found it in is Motorcade Interception, but you can't get it since you can't harm any UN troops. I've gotten Silent Assassin on 3 levels, but the third time it didn't give me any new gun. Anyone who can help?

You need to get Silent Assassin for a few missions to get the M4A1. I've gotten Silent Assassin in every mission except Hidden Valley :)

You don't need to get Silent Assassin on every level though- you stop getting new guns after the M4A1 it seems (I'm on Tunnel Rat- I've finished the game already but I'm playing it againt to get SA)

You'll get the scalpel in the hospital mission, you must've forgotten to pick up the .22 pistol (it's in the museum in shogun showdown) and the W2000 you'll get on the second last mission.

Thanks. I saw that the other clone had a W2000 in the cinematic but he didn't drop it when I killed him. The only missions I can get SA on are Anathema, Kirov Park Meeting, and Basement Killing, though I almost got it on Tracking Hayamoto, I had killed no one except Hayamoto Jr. and I was on my way out when a guard just ran in and started shooting me for no reason

You shouldn't have let cheap crap like that cheat you out of an SA rating. Load the game till you get it right! :)

I HATE Hidden Valley. Stupid damn mission. I shot all those assholes with the crossbow, I just didn't care really. That missions got serious BUGS. You're in a totally face concealing disguise and these assholes spot you and tell you to halt from 30m away. Bullshit.

Jacuzzi job is a good mission to get SA

Yeah, I hate Hidden Valley too... they never "check the IDs" of the guards that look exactly like you and act exactly like you...Grrr...

But I hate Jacuzzi Job, too...guess I never really spent much time on it. My plan is sneak around, go through the far door and destroy the fuses, grab the money and statue, knock out the techie that comes to fix the power, then whack Charlie.

Different approach-

knock out the fuses the first time to steal the statue and money. THEN, hide until the tech comes to fix it, wait till he leaves. Break the fuses again, timing it so you'll have a clear run Charlie's room. It doesn't matter if the girls are there. Just wait right at the door. Pull out your silenced 9mm, and wait till the tech arrives. Shoot Charlie in such a way so that you can see his head but the girls are out of sight. Make sure you're VERY close to the door. The moment he dies, bolt for the elevator- which is there waiting for you.

Save before you break the second fuses so you can time it correctly- the guards cannot be in the hallway after you've shot charlie and made a break for the elevator.

I've finished the game too. My question is, why is it rated for SEX and violence? What sexual content are they talking about? Or did I miss something?

The last mission, I sniped almost all the bodyguards, garroted one, and sniped the badguy in the confessional from the balcony!

Heaps of ways to do this properly- my way-

1- forget the waiter at the start. Go to the equipment pickup, then Sneak in via the East back door and get into the garage- sneaking past the guard in there. Get into the room with (!) and take the spare waiter outfit. This way, your suit is in the building, which is important.

2- pick up the champagne and poison it. Find the general and give him the glass. He'll run off and die in an out of the way spot. If you're quick, the ambassador will be on his way to the safe for the second time with the Spetznaz agent behind him. Run to the room next to this one (a door connects them) and wait till the ambassador and spetznaz walk in. Save it.

3- sneak in as the ambassador and agent have their backs to you and the ambassador is opening the door to the safe. garrote the spetznaz guy, remembering to take his PSM 5.45 pistol for your collection. The ambassador will just sit there, dont worry. Take the briefcase.

4- Problem. The guards will shoot you if they see you in a waiter outfit with the briefcase. Here's the hard part. Sneak back down to where your suit is, change, and sneak back up ... it's possible, it's just all a matter of timing. Go back for the briefcase (it helps to leave it in a room close to the stairs leading back up to the main floor). Now that you're in your snazzy armani, you can stroll right out the front door with the case and none will be wiser. The guy at the gate will ask for your invitation, just keep walking.

Silent Assassin done :)

There's supposed to be a secret passage with a W2000 rifle, but I don't know where it is, and there's no way you're getting out of there with SA if you're toting a sniper rifle.

SEXUAL content? Maybe the naked people ... *shrugs* :)

Here's how I got SA from Invitation to a Party:

I ignored the main gate and entered the courtyard from the closest gate by picking the lock. I then simply walked to the embassy and the hall. I waited there until the spetsnaz began talking to the ambassador and took him to the room with safe.

I knifed the spetsnaz, picked the Makarov and took the briefcase. You can safely ignore the ambassador because he won't do anything. I then walked to the room where the General stops by frequently, knifed him and used the anastethic on the maid.

Then I just walked through the main gate to the boat.

I got SA from Hidden Valley too! :P Yeah, the mission was a load of crap, but I managed to finish with SA. I sneaked behind the guard who is patrolling near the Crossbow and other equipment, and killed him. Then I took his clothes and the Crossbow. I headed for the exit by using the surface route, trying to ignore the guards. When some of them wanted to check my ID, I started to run away. They never catched me or opened fire...

Luck had probably a lot to do with this. :)

In my opinion the Malaysia missions are definetely the best, especially the Jacuzzi Job

Nitpick: it's a PSM, not a PM (Makarov) :)
