I've heard about the laser propelled one before, they test that down hear in New Mexico, if the laser doesn't hit the projectile just right... well, lets just say "projectile... what projectile...", besides that the laser needed to propel several humans ontop of a large, comfy elevator projectile would probably better used to destroy vehicles and such. So in other words, no using the laser.

Yeah, the idea of maglev trains has been in the works for years now. I believe some researchers came out with an improved maglev design about a year ago, but the cost of building thousands of magnets into a rail track doesn't seem too economical.Asst. Asst. Lt. Cmdr.
