Rather scary idea
We all know about the NightWa- the Information Awareness Office, right? Well, since this board is hosted on an American provider, it is possible that the Gest- the Information Awareness Office could tap into the board, IP tag everyone, find out where they live, etc.etc, right?
Which is rather worrying, considering the number of confessed pot smokers, anti-Bushites, and possible software pirates on the forums. Ppl like Weemadando and Wong would be safe, unless the Ministry of Tru-the Information Awareness Office was sharing dirt with other nations.

Canada is not a good option. One day or the other the US will decide that since Canada is not "with us" in the war on terror then it must be "against us".At that point the US will take plan Red out of the dust and will roll over Canada.Nova Andromeda wrote:--And not far off base. Techicly they could but that violates the rules, one of the things that I found intresting thats left out of todays reporting is the new information office to use anything they find must first have a judge aprove court order just like if they where tapping your phone line, however an additonal restriction is that anything they find out about OTHER people(IE They are tracking me on muffinweb.com and you breaks down and admit to kill 40 people) is not admissable in a court of law

-Do you actually believe they give a shit about the rules? The courts are not much more than a rubber stamp for the right wing these days. In addition, Bush now has total power and will appoint whoever he wants to weight the judicial branch in favor of his policiies. You only need to look to that secret court that okayed rules that allow laws used to spy foreign spies against U.S. citizens. The fact of the matter is that Bush and lockup whoever he wants in a military brig for whatever reason he wants.Mr Bean wrote:Techicly they could but that violates the rules, one of the things that I found intresting thats left out of todays reporting is the new information office to use anything they find must first have a judge aprove court order just like if they where tapping your phone line, however an additonal restriction is that anything they find out about OTHER people(IE They are tracking me on muffinweb.com and you breaks down and admit to kill 40 people) is not admissable in a court of law

FYI those Courts where put in place by Left-Wing Democrats for years opon years, Also if they are right-Wing, Then how in Bobs name does the left get away with BREAKING ELECTION LAWs(The one thing above anything else the right would probably care about the left doing) subsiting Canidits and ordering COUNTY SPECFIC Recounts(Palm Beach and Co where run by Democrats, not Republicans Gore never called for the State Wide Recount(The Legale one) rather he called for a ILLEAGLE County Specific RecountDo you actually believe they give a shit about the rules? The courts are not much more than a rubber stamp for the right wing these days.
Your not seriously telling me that for the past Thirty Years(Regan chose many stated Liberal Judges to get them through Congress) that nearly Ever Single Judge today on the bench was picked by the left and still you think we have a "right wing" judical system?
He still needs 60 Votes in the Senate to bring a Judge to Final Vote, if you don't get the 60 you can't get them put into-place, that is the Law, Are there 60 Republicans? No sorry there are 52, 3! of which are realy Moderate and whine and moan anytime they are asked to vote on anything(Maine's Sentators and I forget the third) Bush does not have an absoulte Majority just as Clinton did not in 92-93In addition, Bush now has total power and will appoint whoever he wants to weight the judicial branch in favor of his policiies
This one is acutal being faut in Court RIGHT NOW FYI along with a Judge in DC ordering a cesation of any new arrests until they determine the consiutability of this which means this will end up being a Supreme Court Case 5-14 Months down the road and until then Bush's hands are tied by Court order to use the powers you refer toYou only need to look to that secret court that okayed rules that allow laws used to spy foreign spies against U.S. citizens.

If this is still the Rough Plan, Canada go down hard and fast. Anyways, I always knew Canada would lose due too the lengthy border, and could only hold possibly parts of British Columbia and some Ontario & Montreal. Damn, Bush has total control now? Shit, and here I though we just had a Congressional election. They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. --This is red herring. The point is that the courts system leans toward the right wing and Bush can ensure this remains the case (remember the Supreme Court is the only one that really matters). Besides the U.S. court system is a broken system regardless. There is no such thing as a fair trial anymore and we certainly cannot rely on the courts to protect our rights.Mr. Bean wrote:FYI those Courts where put in place by Left-Wing Democrats for years opon years, Also if they are right-Wing, Then how in Bobs name does the left get away with BREAKING ELECTION LAWs(The one thing above anything else the right would probably care about the left doing) subsiting Canidits and ordering COUNTY SPECFIC Recounts(Palm Beach and Co where run by Democrats, not Republicans Gore never called for the State Wide Recount(The Legale one) rather he called for a ILLEAGLE County Specific RecountNova Andromeda wrote:Do you actually believe they give a shit about the rules? The very fact that this type of power grab must be fought should terrify the hell out of you (unless you are one of Bush's allies).Mr Bean wrote:This one is acutal being faut in Court RIGHT NOW FYI along with a Judge in DC ordering a cesation of any new arrests until they determine the consiutability of this which means this will end up being a Supreme Court Case 5-14 Months down the road and until then Bush's hands are tied by Court order to use the powers you refer toNova Andromeda wrote:You only need to look to that secret court that okayed rules that allow laws used to spy foreign spies against U.S. citizens.

Red Herring? Its where the Decision will be made! This is red herring. The point is that the courts system leans toward the right wing and Bush can ensure this remains the case (remember the Supreme Court is the only one that really matters)
The fact is the Courts DON'T have a right wing leaning, furthermore the very issue is being brough up IN Courts now, if its declared unconsituational Bushy Boy will be long out of office before he gets another Chance to bring it before the Supremes for Consideration
Bzzzt... Appels Courts can kill things right then and there and only unless there is some basies can it be brought before the Supreme Court and THEY have to agree to take the case before they can even look at itremember the Supreme Court is the only one that really matters
Bzzzt... Sorry but your ignoring Relailty here and Political Relialty as well, the only way the Democrats will get vote back into Office is if they strongly oppose Bush on everything, They tried going along with him and they lost the senate because of it. If they learned thier lesson the will have Falwel and Jackson on near 24/7 Railing aginst the Presidentdemocrats are a bunch of panzy bitchs. Look at what they have allowed to pass:

Here is your problem right here Nova, There is a Court Order that Bush can no longer exerice these powers and you say big deal? Thats a big fucking deal one would think and a gdamn nice safty net for now, They could have aurgued the issue and left Bush free to run around and do as he pleases, It will be defeated in Court and Bush will looses these powers AS HE SHOULD, But yes it IS a Big fucking deal when a Judge temporaly takes these powers away from him while he's on trial(And pretty likley to loose them)Do you realize he has already used the powers I alluded to? Let me make a comparsion
Bill 4048482
The President can kill whoever he wants and its legal but it must be done with his bare hands( ) Alright now thats a bad thing, Want to take it to Court and take it away from him?
Hmm Yes? Well would you mind if we left him with those powers or took them away till after we decided
And you say big deal...

--Are you really that dense? The Supreme Court decides what cases to take or not to take so long as there is someone to appeal the case to the Supreme Court. Since the Supreme Court leans toward the right and any retirement will be replaced by Bush for now we simply cannot count on the courts to protect jack shit.Mr Bean wrote:Bzzzt... --You still don't get it do you? The very fact that those powers could be considered let alone that Bush could ever excersize those powers is a terrible thing. You seem to think that because they might be taken away permenantly everything is fine and dandy (and I haven't heard anything about them releasing that american from the military brig)! Sorry, but that is little consolation (though I'll take what I can get these days). In addition, that secret court okayed the expanded spying powers so your arguement that we have nothing to worry about because the courts will protect is nothing but a fantasy.Mr Bean wrote:Here is your problem right here Nova, There is a Court Order that Bush can no longer exerice these powers and you say big deal?
