Ugh, Gatech season ruined, fumbles to UGA

Post by Lord MJ »

I have to hand it to the Bulldogs. They played very, very good this time. Unlike last year in which they won, only because of the incompetence of our guys, (the Bulldogs did quite a few stupid things during last years confrontation, but we did some stupid things too, which resulted in UGA finally ending GT's domination).

This year however, the dawgs dominated Tech this time, and the fact that we fumbled so many times didn't help. It's hard to believe that this was the same team that ended the undefeated streaks of UVA and NC State, and came close to defeating FSU if not for that interception in the first quarter.

I mean come on here, did those guys practice at all during the past 2 weeks? I think that Duke game made the Jackets go soft. If we had played Maryland last week, we wouldn't have slacked off so much.

Ah well another Football season come and gone. I want to be able to see Tech beat UGA at least once before I graduate. Actually we won 2 games over UGA during my freshman and sophomore years, but I didn't pay attention to football then, so those don't really count.

Ah, well UGA might win the National title if Miami loses to Virginia Tech. And when that National Title poll was up here a few weeks ago, everyone, including myself was saying, "UGA?! Yeah right!"

Shows that nothings certain in College football.

Maybe next year, NAVY will win the national championship!!!

Wow, you have a lot of class. See, I could never do that, I always have to be an asshole about it when Georgia loses.

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

Tech's been hurting ever since it lost Joe. That was marvelous football to watch: Joe running the Friedgen offense. Too bad Ted Roof never bothered making sure the secondary knew to stay on coverage and that anyone knew how to tackle consistently.

I was kind of surprised at the score. I mean, Georgia beat Tech worse than they beat us, and look at what Tech did to us in the opener. I know, Tech's had some major injuries since then, particularly the loss of Greg Gathers (do you know, did his eligibility get extended?), and you can't compare a mid-season game and a late-season game. Blah blah blah. All I know is that Vanderbilt's football team sucks, and there's no reason that Georgia should have beaten Tech by a greater margin (and with a higher score) than they beat Vanderbilt.

Well I'm not the kind of person to shout "To Hell with Georgia". But I was hoping for somewhat better performance by the Yellow Jackets.

Also I have to tell it like it is, there was no excuse for the performance of the jackets, none. Absolutely nothing worked for us.

I can't understand what went wrong, it's like our entire team just decided to give out.

Forget UGA, if you're playing that badly, Navy could rout you, NAVY!!!

Chan Gailey better stop being mister nice guy and start whipping the boys into shape for the bowl and next season.

Plus the fact that we have been decimated by injuries hasn't helped either.
