Well which language isn't? French and Spanish and Italian are descended from Latin, German and Scandinavian languages make up English.
There is olnly one English language, but there are many dialects e.g. Cockney, Brummie, Yorkshire, Australian, American, Afro-Carribean and so on.
French, German, and Nordic languages make up the majority of English, but we add words from other languages as they become useful. In Florida, for example, probably a good 5% of the language is Spanish now (the ever-infamous Spanglish). There are areas with more of a French influence (parts of Louisiana), and there are parts of Orlando with a Russian influence. American English is not a static language, but rather a large number of related but slightly different languages that are understandable across a wide range of peoples. The British, Australians, Irish, and most of the Scottish are understandable to a decently educated American, but I will say the Welsh are nearly unintelligible to me (even when using Standard English).
