See i think people fear those roads a bit too much. When I was at College Park and commuting back to Columbia on weekends and some weeknights despite leaving at the beginning of rush hour (at about 4:00 - 4:30) it would take me less than thirty minutes to go from my dorm to the Columbia Mall.beyond hope wrote:If I want to get into DC, I park at a light rail station someplace like Columbia and ride in from there. 495 and 95 are such a mess that I will not travel them unless I've got no other choice. I had a job for a while that had me traveling 695 and 97... it was a nightmare. Those 45 miles of road would take an hour to an hour and a half to travel.
However 295 with traffic is just pure hell, 95 at least tends to move since it has those extra lanes but 295...damn.
