Get rid of either the monkeys or the Naboo Brew. Both is getting a little too much.

I value my sig, which is perfectly reasonably sized and spaced IMHO.
Yes, it is.

fgalkin, it is tolerable now that you cut the whitespace and quote tags.

Now, one of the ones I think is rather less tolerable...

As this is again being discussed, there's no point in waisting previous work.
Some conclusions have been already reached.

As is, Spanky's sig is 180 pixels. That's a little over 23% of the vertical space on a 1024x768 screen, generously assuming that there's no other space being used by the browser or by a Windows taskbar. Taking up damn near a quarter of the screen is not what I'd call a good size.

Please, let's not let this forum become another Spacebattles (despite the retardesque "poking"), where it seemed like damn near every other person had to go the full 12 lines.

At the very least, don't include your sig in every goddamn post. We've seen your sig, we don't want to see it yet again.

And Einhander, at a little over 300 pixels (or ~39% of a 1024x768 screen) I think your sig is a bit too big too. At the very least, the Quake symbol causes a lot of (annoying) empty space.

Personally, I think no pictures or animations of any kind should be in a sig. Doesn't it eat up bandwidth?

I recommend having the total sig no more than 20k... Think of the poor modem users  And if you need to code it in, I would probably do it with PHP.

It's a fairly obnoxious animation. Rather distracting.

The problem is that it changes too fast. It irritates the eye when trying to read the post. It's not too big, but I think you should modify it.

It's better (at least it remains still! :D)

But I would make it a bit smaller, or people will complain (I can't complain too much, because my sig is also bit long. I'll gladly take the pic out if that's decided)

Everybody hates obtrusive animations, just like we hate blinking text. There's a reason that every webpage design book in the world tells you not to do it.
