The voice of Harry Houdini!

Post by DPDarkPrimus »

From the most recent of James Randi's weekly columns...
A find! Here’s a real surprise! Click here to hear the actual voice of the legendary Harry Houdini – recorded by Thomas Edison himself on a wax cylinder – delivering his speech introducing the Water Torture Cell illusion that he originated and featured in his final theater tour in 1929!

WOW! It sounds like he is over-enunciating. (Like edison told him to in order to clearly hear him on the wax cylinder.) that is amazing, though...to put a voice to the face. Excellent.

Great find man!
You are an intelligent human being. Your life is valuable for its own sake. You are not second-class in the universe, deriving meaning and purpose from some other mind. You are not inherently evil—you are inherently human, possessing the positive rational potential to help make this a world of morality, peace and joy. Trust yourself. –Dan Barker

Just listened to this. That's pretty damned nifty!

Even niftier is the fact that Winamp chose to play Steve Miller Band's Abracadabra afterwards.
