It just finished at my school library's TV. I rate it as so-so, in terms of credibility of evidence presented...like 7/10.
Anyone else have comments on that speech??
UPDATE: Some Chinese foreign minister is now responding.
Collin Powell's presentation at the UN

Caught it about half way through. It wasn't a political speach so I don't really care if it came across (good or bad) like one. The information presented by Powell pretty much covered the subject and it will be interesting if the nay sayers will again raise the bar for evidence.
There was no picture of an Iraqi standing next to a nuke but it seems we go copies of the receits from Saddams nuclear shopping trip. It should convince nay sayers but then again its a political issue with them and not a security issue.

They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong
But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

I missed the speech except for a few tidbits. I wish I had seen it cause I respect Powell and his thinking. It does not change things for a naysayer like me because Im of the belief you do not invade and topple a govt unless they have commited an act of war against you, or they pose a present a clear and present danger. I dont believe Iraq does so at this time. However, if they UN Sec Council votes for action if Sadam does not start cooperating better I can live with that.
