Of course this is only good for running a server, since Solaris does not have as good hardware compatibility as Linux does. It's supposed to be more stable though. However RMS is probably going to bitch second about Sun's licencing (probably good reason to do so, kind of restrictive for something "free", like not allowed to run it on an SMP system unless you buy SMP licence.)
