I think Shang Tsung takes this one. He's lasted the longest.

And when they made it into a movie, CHT's Shang Tsung was the most badass (in terms of "evilness") by far. The character exuded evil. He was certainly far more sinister and chilling than Shao Khan in the crap sequel (named "MK: Annhialation"), despite the fact that Khan was supposed to be more powerful. He [Khan] just sort of stood around and shouted a lot... there was none of the creeping, insidious malice that hung like an aura about Tagawa's Shang Tsung in the first film.

Anyway, I reckon the most badass foe in the games was Kintaro. He was fricken near-impossible to defeat.

Motaro. The first time I fought him (This was with Sektor), I tried bombarding him with heat-seeking missiles. Boy did I ever get a surprise  :? He's hard, teleports, whacks the crap out of you, and doesn't hesitate to show you who's the boss.

Edit: In the movie, Shang Tsung really was the best one. He dripped evil, he was manipulative, and he was insidious as HELL. Plus, he had the power to back it up. Man I'd love to be him

I'm sorry, but Motaro was the worst boss of all. I beat him on my first try     Moloch was stupid; I beat him on my third. Shang Tsung was a cheap little fucker who would shoot four lost souls that would kill you. Shao Kahn was a pussy in MK2, but was more difficult in 3. Goro was okay, but Kintaro was the best. For those who say Kintaro was a mere clone of Goro, did he have the same moves? Was he just as slow? He just looked the same; hardly a reason to put him down. He is also the best character to play as in Trilogy.

Shang Tsung for evilness.

Goro because it actually took an effort and skills for me to beat him. And he was hard, without it necessarily being just him with a bunch of dirty tricks.

Shang Tsung.

The only that came close for me was Shao Khan only because of such lines as

"Is that your best?"

"You suck."

But the movie did wonders for Shang Tsung, plus he's just a nasty biatch.

Kintaro was good brute, but fell for possibly the dumbest flaw ever(the whole corner, low punch thing just made me laugh...aside from that he had virtually no weak points)

Goro was pretty cool

The rest are pretty forgettable.

Shang Tsung is the best, he's just so Evil.
Goro would be my next choice. The only MK I really liked was the original coin-op, after that it was just repetition.

Shang Tsung. What could possibly be better than a 600 year old shape-shifting Chinese sorceror, who eats souls? Also, he kicks ass in the latest MK game, deadly alliance. He's so quick, and best of all, he's the only character with cheapshots. Poke 'em in the eye, kick 'em in the groin.

Gotta go Old Skool here, boys. Goro is the best. I used to play MK and MK2 for hours when I worked in an arcade. Of course, there was a reason for that... plus I always played either Johnny Cage or Sonya Blade. I loved playing Raiden too.

He reminds me of.... the name flew out of my head... the Soul Blade/Soul Calibur bad guy. It's got to be the pirate looking clothes.
