Well, Ustan, leaving aside the validity of the source, Japan has one of the most schizophrenic views on sexuality of a first world country. This is the culture that gave us tentacle hentai, Bukakkae, and any other numbers of aberrant sexual behaviour. Not to metion Japanese youth have been getting more and more westernized and restless. Sexuality is one of the area's youth have always rebelled in. Something like this as a few isolated icidents is possible but I doubt a popular trend.

Japan may have strong sexual content in their media, but not in real life. It's kind of the same reallife/entertainment contrast like how ancient Greece had all those tragic plays despite the fact their morale and standards of living were very high for the time. Also, despite the fact that in anime/manga/film views of homosexuality are very relaxed, in Japan it's still very taboo and some people have lost their job over it.

It's a case of public repression and private perversion in Japanese culture. They have any number of strange sexual practices in real life. And this, if it's something that's happening, involves the youth of Japan who are becoming more and more rebelious so judging them by adult standards isn't necessarilly a good idea.

That's a good point. Then again, the same could be said of the US, and yet we probably don't get big trends of sex or violence of this scale. I certainly don't see Japanese school girls getting into it, as the perverse stuff sure as hell isn't part of their normal culture. Anything's possible on a really small-scale, though.

The fact that the perverse stuff exists, and some of the perverse stuff become quite well known, is an indication that things aren't so straight laced. The fact that a lot of that stuff as common as playboy and penthouse is here suggests major peversion in private. A rebelious youth would very likely bring it into the open.

Most school girls and guys would have better sense but they are a disatisfied group on the whole. If you look at trands they are more and more going to the excesses of western youth. Something this extreme would of course be limited in scale but it could happen. And there is no denying western excesses are seeping into Japanese youth culture.

I disagree with the 'abortion fund' bit. After all, if you know you can just get an abortion, where's the risk? Therefor, I propose that whoever gets knocked up must live with the consequences. It would make the game much more fun, and may even lead to some people playing REAL Russian Roulette.

It's not wholly unbelievable. The Japanese are VERY sexually liberal. While that may seem strange considering they're very orderly and strict people, Western and Eastern sexual standards differ.

Also, if people here gripe and moan about having to wear a condom, in Japan it's even worse. As much as some of you guys don't want to admit it, America is a very puritanical place.
