Considering he's bending over backwards to make a correction where there doesn't need to be one, I'd say none: His obnoxious fanaticism is punishment enough.HemlockGrey wrote:Heh. One of my friends is in a an English class that is reading a book on the Holocaust, so I lent the teacher my copy of Barefoot Gen to show to the class. One of the students, a die-hard Gundum fan, was complaining about how it was obviously American and not real 'Japimation'.
I swear, he called it 'Japimation'
What should his punishment be?
what the heck did it's ethnicity have to do with your conversation? If someone was insisting it really was Japanese, I could understand making a correction (if someone kept telling someone that Aeon Flux was 'anime', I'd sure as hell enlighten them, but I'm like that about ignorance in general), but this wasn't occuring in the situation I assume, and even then he sure as hell doesn't need to use such an old/insulting pun.
