Anything worth the cost of a missile, which can be located on the battlefield, will be shot at with missiles. If the US military is involved, then things, which are not worth the cost if a missile will also be shot at with missiles. -Sea Skimmer

The cancer came from runaway cell replication - a possible side-effect of her being cloned IIRC.Seggybop wrote:They killed it cause it got lung cancer, not from any clone-related issue.

My mistake, it was a lung infection, and it's the arthritis that was possibly caused by runaway cell replication and aging.Rob Wilson wrote:The cancer came from runaway cell replication - a possible side-effect of her being cloned IIRC.Seggybop wrote:They killed it cause it got lung cancer, not from any clone-related issue.

But to add to this, Matilda the Australian Cloned sheep died from unknown causes only a week ago. Unlucky month for clones

There are rumors that cloned animals live shorter due to shortened telomeres, which is extra DNA at the end of a strand. Some gets lost with each replication. When it runs out, the information at the end of the strand gets lost, leading to errors, causing stuff like cancer.
