Um...yeah...that was totally lost on me. I've seen one episode of SG-1. In any case, Star Wars fan to Star Wars fan, I remind you of the three most powerful words in the world of science fantasy; Commence Primary Ignition.
The gift of Superman is the same in his universe as ours. It's not about his powers, his costume, his persona, it's about the using the gifts he has to help people. We all have gifts too, maybe we can't leap tall buildings in a single bound, but maybe we're good with math, maybe we're charming. We can use our gifts -whatever they are- to help people. We just need to make that choice. And Superman shows us that it's possible.

So lemme get this straight, you saw asingleepisode of SG-1, and from that episode you judged the entire series from it? Doesn't that seem the least bit hasty to you? Or do you just not like the premise of the show altogether? Either way, do nto be so quick as to judge such a fine sci-fi show before you get a chace to know it.

Yeah, it's not unheard of, you know. How many people saw fifteen minutes of Enterprise and said (rightly so) "This is crap?" I stand by my initial statement that a Stargate movie would have a pop tape caused by the TV show to get through if it were to be any good.

I like the film Stargate.

But I really can't watch Stargate SG-1. More often then naught, it is unable to hold my interest.

At least you've got a good reason Spanky, unlike Reinn "I hate it cause its...uh..." Still, I don't think you know what your missing! You've probably been catching some of the boring episodes, which aren't at all boring to me, but seem to be to others. if you'd watch it more often you might learn to like it. And become a SG-1 fanatic/junkie such as myself. Sounds promising eh? :)

But how can you hate SG-1? Its so...and then theres O'Neil and its....Thor!...And...agh, I'm at a loss for words. Where's Shinova or Darkling when you need 'em? :?

What? I never even came close to hinting at a reason I didn't like it. Never talked about it's faults or good points. I never even said I hated it, because I don't. It just didn't remind me of the movie, nor did it interest me enough on its own.

In any case, I'm too much of a Star Wars and Superman junkie to pick up another sci-fantasy addiction.

Sorry you said it was "killed" by the TV show. I suppose Imayhave been a bit hasty in assuming killed = hate, but I digress. The show is good with or without the movie, and judging on how much it "interests" you should be done in more than one episode.

Anywho, I don't want to change your mind on the subject if you're not intersted, and yes I love SW as much as the next Warsie also.

Well, I for one thing SG:1 is one of the best movie spin-offs series I've seen. I love SG:1 and watch it on a regular basis, and thats why I felt that Stargate 2 would be so appropriate as so much ground has been covered with SG:1. Also, have you seen the episode The Changling...that episode I loved because, if not anything else, the cinematography was great and worked extremely well with the narrative. And who doesnt like Col. O'Niel...his sarcastic attitude is brill! That was a very very very good episode for me!

Then again, to each their own.
