My Spring Break

Post by The Dark »

Well, I've now been back from spring break for three days. Here's what I did:

Went to my parents' house in Orlando.
Slept a lot :D .
Went to the FLGS (friendly local gaming store) and got MoO3 and a couple Gear Krieg books.
Went to the TICO Warbirds Airshow...and got rained out after spending $12 to get in and $10 on lunch :( :( .
Came back on Sunday evening to get a call saying my boss had a heart attack over the weekend...she's out of the hospital, but I have to run the Counseling Center/Student Activities/Greek Life office for at least a week (along with my six courses here on campus).
Found out one of my friends, a high school senior, was here on campus for an Honors Weekend and got dragged to a dive (I'm being generous to the place) the night before a CLEP test. The big problem comes because she's the daughter of a seminary professor who's a really nice guy, but he tends to believe the law should be followed...he was just a wee bit annoyed, and I'm royally pissed at those nimrod Greeks who took her there without saying where they were going. Nasty letters shall ensue from this encounter...

So, that was my Spring Break...six more weeks until I go home for the summer.

I have three more days to go before mine starts. And of course, UGA won't let me go without dropping a beast of an accounting test on me first.

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

At my school, Spring Break hasn't even started, and if it did, it sure as hell wouldn't feel like Spring. There are still some piles of snow here in PA!

Spring Break can NOT come soon enough for me.
I am capable of rearranging the fundamental building blocks of the universe in under six seconds. I shelve physics texts under "Fiction" in my personal library! I am grasping the reigns of the universe's carriage, and every morning get up and shout "Giddy up, boy!" You may never grasp the complexities of what I do, but at least have the courtesy to feign something other than slack-jawed oblivion in my presence. I, sir, am a wizard, and I break more natural laws before breakfast than of which you are even aware!

My break is still a fair way off, which is good in some ways since we still have large amounts of snow on the ground preventing spring from coming.
