A quick comment on the ST Homepage Poll...

The question: What would you fix/change about Star Wars, if you had the chance?

The choices:
Jar Jar Binks
The Anakin/Amidala Love Story
Greedo Shooting First
The Ewoks

Now, I just want to know, WHY are the EWOKS at the bottom of the list? WHY is Jar Jar at the top? I mean, come on! Binks is certainly the most obnoxious character I've seen in good time, but it's toned down at least a small bit by the second episode. That aside, he's not that important to the storyline (At least, in comparison to the other choices). Greedo would be a fair second place, being that it would provide an interesting alternate story if it happened. The Love thing becomes a crucial part to the corruption of Anakin, but I probably wouldn't change it, because it's a neat twist. But the Ewoks?!

Soft, fuzzy bears that destroy a platoon of Imperial troops, with rocks. And sticks. With sharp pointy ends to those sticks. Why would you NOT change that, to something...SOMETHING more plausible?

Shouldn't this be in the Pure Star Wars forum?

Either way, Jar Jar in TPM. I would have definitely made him toned down, more sophisticated and less present. He can be a clumsy olf and not be as damned annoying.

Until Jar-Jar, the Ewoks were the worst thing about SW, except for Darth Vader turning sissy and dying. Ruin my childhood hero will you? You bastards!
