Another story I heard about Einstein was that he was once asked about a formula during an interview. The reporter was incredulous that he didn't know it off the top of his head, and his reply was something to the effect of "If I need to know a formula, I can look it up."
Intelligence to me lies in comprehension and problem-solving ability. I'm not impressed by people who are able to memorize and quote back theorums, statistics, or what have you... any computer can do that with much greater efficiency than the human mind. As far as IQ test scores go, I agree with everyone who's said "It's what you do with it." I know when I was still in school studying fine art, that some of the best students were NOT the ones with the natural talent, rather it was the ones who were willing to put in the time to practice and develop their skills who improved. I think the same is true in any field: if you're willing to put in the hard work you will excell.
