Well, that's an opinion. I don't agree, but you may be right in the control part.To be honest, I'd rather do away with all mandatory firearm registration and background checks. The mandatory firearm registration allows any tyrannical government to know who has a gun and who doesn't while background checks take up a lot of departmental resources that could be used in catching real criminals.
I assure you we value democracy in Europe. A lot. And we have weapons control and.. Identity cards (with the exception of the U.K).
