Maybe we should just set some strategically placed warheads along some fault lines and send California out into the Pacific...

While there are some good people there, overall, it wouldn't hurt my feelings alot to loose the People's Republic of California.
Then we have similar feelings about each others' states :)

For oil, what else? There are pricetags on everything, though :)
That would be a no, there was no oil industry in America when we acquired Texas.

I never said that Texas is perfect. Neither did I attack the whole of California just because some of the people are bad, which is exactly what you did with Texas. I fully realize and accept that there are plenty of shitheads here, but I also realize that the total population is higher and that the moron density is not significantly different from the rest of the country.

Haha

In a similar situation, I got flamed by some dude in another thread over a comment I made about southern baptists

But anyways, Texass is too polluted for my tastes~ Normally, the flat land allows winds to freely sweep away pollution, but the nasty air is so freakin heavy, even this natural cleansing mechanism fails

Maybe if we connected Texas to California the opposing undesirable elements would attract and mutually annhialate each other?

Hey, that is my fucking hometown where I'm living.

FUCK OFF, BITCHES!

Their are a million people in this city, and I think this is one of the best metropolian comunities in the USA. We had 25k(people not meters) Komen Race for the cure saterday, we have large charities to provide fans for the poor during the summer. And before I've shown the comparisons in the response of the city between the Spurs winning the championship for the first time ever, and the Lakers wining it again.

Truly.
But as for being Texas, this is just as likely to happen in New York or California or Florida. Hell, people act like Texas is full of gunfighters and dumbasses. It has its share, sure, as does any other state, or country.
Do you have statistics on the average likelihood of religious fundamentalism vs postsecondary education in Texas as opposed to the rest of the country? I'm curious how you know their ratio is identical to everyone else's ratio, since we all know how unreliable anecdotal evidence is.

Learn you're history. Texas secceeded from Mexico, sparking a war between Texas and Mexico, and then petitioned to join the union. IIRC there weren't any US troops until after the petition was granted...

That is... truly bizarre. I sincerely hope that this is a completely isolated incident, although in most marriages like this the final acts are but parts of rich tapestries of abuse.

There are not that many.

Where I live is basically a colony of young professionals and their kids. Pinellas County is pretty young and active compared with much of the rest of Florida.

We have glorious beaches and much to do. Come...you know you want to.
