We had Voltron, too. The bitchin' metal lions one.

...

But his head and wings broke off, and we didn't have his sword. :(

army soldiers. I had a c-151 which carried a light tank and 2 heavies, I had 500 little green guys, mortar teams, flamethrowers, everything, and a few dozen of the half inch medieval models. I had massive wars in my basement, spreading three rooms.

Mostly Transformers: Favorites were Metroplex (Trypticon ultimately beat him though, since he was so much sturdier), Countdown the little micromaster commander, and some Action Masters. Lots of folks didn't like the non-transforming Transformers, but I wasn't one of 'em. It was a chance to own all the long out of production transformers, and they were ALL THE RIGHT SIZE FOR EACH OTHER!! Any of you remmember having Optimus Prime fight Shockwave? That's right, Shockwave is like a frickin' half foot taller than Prime! Also I could snap off the AM's arms and legs for "battle damage."

Later on I liked whatever the cheap toys in the bargin bin at KayBee's were. My friend David and I would buy an armload, torture them all, and then take the scraps and construct bad ass new toys from them. We had some great times...

Well, they did have the uber cliched Oktober Guard series of toys to play with. In the comics GI Joe and the Oktober Guard would always come to blows when they were trying to fight Cobra, but they always made nice by the end :)

Legos. Best toy ever in my opinion.

GI Joes, Transformers, and Matchbox/Hotwheels cars.

Favorite toy was Boba Fett, I prized him above all others.

In general, went from: Toy Cars => Star Wars => Gi-Joe. Pretty much always played with lego (especially space lego) and transformers.

Still have all this stuff stored at my parents house. Including Boba Fett (and he still has his little gun, woohoo :) )

I had a Milleneum Falcon. That was my favorite -- had it for years. The Darth Vader action figure was probably my second favorite. My friend and I would take a mixture of GI Joe and SW action figures to fight wars against each other (I always took Imperial forces and Cobra stuff). Whenever it looked like I might lose, I'd fly in Vader in his TIE fighter and say, "Vader chokes all of your men with the force. You lose."

Star Wars micro-machines for one, however, I managed to destroy 3 TIE fighters, 1, TIE bomber, and 1 TIE interceptor. I still have most of them. I also kept my gigantic collection of animal toys. However, I gave away most of my plastic dinosaurs :( but talked myself into keeping my old Jurassic Park action figures(Poseable Dilophosaurus, with REAL spitting action! I got algae in him that way) Speaking of algae, I also kept my whale and shark collection(Awesome, even though you can't put them in water). *sigh* "Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away........"

(I also still have my old teddy bear

You children wouldn't know a good toy if it came up and bit you in the ass. Behold! Here are the best toys!!!

-Star Wars figures and ships (especially the X-wing and Falcon)
-Atari 2600 (Yar's Revenge, Defender, etc...)

Stewie: "How do you know about the machine?"

Transformers. Megatron was the coolest mofo on the block. And my gigantic AT-ST, plus huge Millenium Falcon. You know, the ones built ot fit micro-machine figures into, but could hold a regular action figure or two if it wanted to.

And Jurassic Park stuff. The T-Rex that roared when you pressed it, geez that was so cool.

I always loved an "Indiana Jones"/"Tomb Raider"-esque game that we used to play.

You had at your disposal, the entire resources of the lego, wooden block, technic, meccano and other "construction" stuff to create the most impentrable, trap ridden "temple of doom" ever.

Your opponent would then attempt to guide a GI Joe through it without setting off any of the traps.

It was helluva cool, using soft-balls as "boulder traps" an having lego punji pits etc...

Transformers. I only had three of them (among them Sideswipe, or whatever the red Lamborghini Countach was called), but they're simply..... CULT!!

Don't forget Lego, as a native of Denmark I have to mention Lego.
