The New Warriors was really primed to be very good again when they cancelled the book. For awhile there they got too concerned with all the spin-off books but when those were all canceled the NW was pretty good again but by the time the team got back together and Nova regained his powers they cancelled the thing while implying there was some serious shit happening on Xandar.
In the last issue I think they killed off the Dire Wraith "Queen" but I don't remember for certain since it's been awhile since I read it.
