Pontiac actually got a bunch of requests for KITT-based models :D
Interesting. BTW, did "Wayne's World" also boost interest in the AMC Pacer?

also i seem to recall that the beetle still holds the record for best 0-5mph accelleration, if this is the case, then saying it is underpowered doesnt sound right, what am i missing?
The fact that 5mph is slow as shit and a human will pass that speed running within a few seconds

I've always wondered how they fit people into Mini Coopers. Do they have to use a shoehorn?
A few months ago, my paper did a section on a guy who owned an Excursion and a guy who owned a Mini Cooper. That was pretty funny, especially when they had sillouetes of them with a yacht and a golf cart included :D

Anyone else always found the fact that the most recognizeable icon of the hippie movement was also ordered designed by Adolf Hitler a bit ironic?

I mean, people were driving around saying 'Peace out! Hell no we won't go!' in cars that were ordered built by the worlds greatest madman.

Of course, there was another great thing about the old Bugs...

Pull out the engine, and you could drop a Porsche one in, and it fits perfectly

Me: Nope, that's why I have you around to tell me.
Nitram: You -are- beautiful. Anyone tries to tell you otherwise kill them.

Hitler wasn't the world's maddest man. That dubious honour probably belongs to Mao Tse Tsung. Mao was definately more evil.

I think Pol Pot takes it. At least Stalin won something.
