Anyone seen this new CN anime? Apparently a remake of a series from the seventies. It's really odd; I can see two VERY distinct character design styles and the animation itself is quite unusual...
Oh yeah. It's called Humanoid Kikaider: The Animation. It's one of those "Android with an unknown purpose" type shows.

The animation style bothers me, and the computer graphics is just painfully apparant...
From the continuing use of the story pinochio, it would be my guess that the androids purpose is to become human in some fashion, basically very uninventive.
My personal opinion of it is rather poor, no offense meant to anyone who likes it

I found the animation quite jarring actually. Indeed the computer animation makes it look far too smooth.
