Meeting family from Georgia.

Post by TrailerParkJawa »

Some family visited this weekend from Georgia and Illinois for a memorial service. Most of them Ive never met in person or had not seen them since I was like 7 or 8 years old.

It was interesting to meet people who act just like me in several ways (hand gestures, personality, etc ) but Ive never really associated with. My cousin is a civil eng in the Atlanta area and it was fun to talk about things we like about our home towns and compare, then compare the dumb things about our home towns.

One of my uncles was telling me I look a lot like his son, who is about 8 years younger than me. We both like cats, we both are fairly mellow. Most of the people on my dad's side seem to have their lives together and are smart cookies. Its a nice change from my mom's family which while I love them and grew up with them, they dont always make for stimulating conversation.

I know that feeling... oh how do I know that feeling. *sigh*

Of course, my mom's family is the stimulating ones. A more rascally group of punsters and pranksters you've never seen. And SirNitram gets to meet nearly all of them this September at the family reunion!!!

Nitram, slightly high on cough syrup: Do you know you're beautiful?
Me: Nope, that's why I have you around to tell me.
Nitram: You -are- beautiful. Anyone tries to tell you otherwise kill them.
