DeBeers is going to mark all of their diamonds, and start up an aggressive marketing campaign to convince women everywhere that their man will get them the 'real' thing is they really love them.

My money says it will work.

DeBeers already marks all their diamonds.

If they're smart, Apollo and Gemesis will start pouring money into efforts aimed at attacking DeBeers' credibility.

So I wonder if we can make these things biggerso that we can make big diamonds. Raises an interesting idea, Diamond Dildos... Oh I can just see DeBeers trying to counter that

Okay anyways... what are some applications outside of electronics? Construction?

I think Gemesis is going to do this. Both of them should pair up and work together in order to combat De Beers. They should run ad campaigns where they don't bring up De Beers' name, but they tell the viewer that manufactured diamonds are not blood diamonds, only in gorey detail.

Good call. Might want to clearly emphasize Made In USA. The Boston bit should do it but it rarely hurts to put Made In USA if you're selling stuff in the US, especially if it's good and if fucks foreigners.

I think the "real thing" angle might work, but another thing you can do is designer diamonds. A while back there was a new age company trying to hire time in our facilities. Thier plan was to buy rather worthless brown diamonds, then irradiate them to change their color to irridescent purple and green and such.

Custom diamonds could be a niche market. Another popular thing might be to crystalize the ashes of a loved one.
