Something along the lines of $725 USD. Lucky thing is, my brother's probably gonna go for the same major, so he gets to use the books after me

$300 for the three classes that I've so far bought books for.

Grab a beer, here's a sob story for ya. Last semester I took an intro descrete math class from the computer science department. We finished most of the textbook and I returned it for about $10. This semester I'm taking a more advanced descrete math class from the math department, AND IT USESES THE SAME DAMN BOOK!!! ARG!!! I had to rebuy the book for almost $100. Oh well, at least the class should be easy if it recovers many chapters

It must be going to do that because there are only a handful of chapters we didn't cover in the intro class, and the intro class isn't always a prereq for the full class, so it will be new to some people.

For this semester, $375.

The stupid fuckers at the college have apparently decided that it's a good idea to have 3 separate calculus textbooks for each calculus course. This means that, instead of simply purchasing one textbook for all three levels and paying $100, you have to buy *three* separate textbooks, effectively tripling the price. To add insult to injury, the separate textbooks aren't even hardcover.
